      Land-Based Indigenous Science Camps in Your Community & Campus Internships for Youth

      Kis Kin Ha Ma Ki Win is a three-year initiative is to provide local youth (aged 16-24) with opportunities to learn about environmental sciences through Indigenous cultural worldviews and customs.

      Each camp and internship will have a focus on helping to protect the land and water in or surrounding your community.

      Opportunity for Youth

      Learn about science and increase your science literacy.

      Learn about the natural world using Indigenous worldviews.

      Prepare for College and/or University.

      Learn with Elders and environmental scientists.

      Have fun outdoors and meet new people.

      For Communities

      Provide educational and outdoor opportunities for youth.

      Strengthen intergenerational relationships.

      Share the importance of the natural environment with local youth.

      Establish a community monitoring program.

      Connect with scientists and explore the impacts of energy generation.
