Land-Based Youth Education Camp at Split Lake
Date: March 4-8, 2024
The Kis Kin Ha Ma Ki Win team visited Tataskweyak in the winter to join the Land-Based Youth Education Camp at Split Lake. During the gathering, a number of workshops took place including an elder medicines workshop, goose de-feathering, traditional foods workshop, fish cleaning and filleting, bannock making, beading, ribbon skirt making and more. Some of the activities included snowshoe racing, sled pulling and cross-country skiing.
